Directions: The event will be signposted from the A76 about 3
miles north of
Thornhill, Dumfriesshire. Follow signs to the castle at NX852993 where a

parking fee will be collected. Park as directed. This is the lambing
season and dogs must be kept under control. Note that the grounds are open
to the public for the season from 31st March.
Terrain: Drumlanrig Woods is an area of mixed woodland with a complex track
and path network, popular with off-road cyclists. The area has just been
resurveyed by Deeside Orienteering & Leisure Maps.
Registration: at Countryside Services, 10:00 to 12:00
Start: approx. 400m from parking, 10:30 to 12:30
Toilets will be available near to the castle
Courses: Colour Coded, White to Brown including Red
String Course
Entry Fees: Senior £7 (£2 reduction on production of a valid
British Orienteering membership card.)
Junior £2.50, String Course free
Sportident electronic punching will be used. 50p SI card hire.
