Organiser's Report

This type of event is one where electronic punching has huge advantages in terms of quick results and calculation of chasing start times.  After a bit of a panic when the SOA laptop being used to set up the event "died" a couple of days before the event (and thanks to Robin's help) the system worked well on the day.  The indoor facilities provided by Hopetoun Estate were also very welcome, particularly when the wind started to pick up.  Hope you enjoyed the event.

Controller's Report

Hopetoun is an ideal venue for this type of event and Mike's courses made the best of the small area, reduced by the presence of the Highland cow and her calves. She looked a bit fierce and I was happier when I remembered the invisible haha. Janice had enrolled a very competent team of helpers, most of whom were also able to run.
With so many controls in a limited space care was needed and several runners were caught out. Unfortunately so were the officials. We sincerely apologies for any problems caused by our mixing up 131 and 132. We corrected it as soon as we discovered the fault and reinstated everyone who might have been affected.
