Well, we managed two events. The committee have decided to end the series now, and hopefully have a more complete set of races in 2021. Combining the 2020 and 2021 series was considered but was not the solution chosen.

The first event of the 2020 South of Scotland Orienteering League (SoSOL) was the third event of the EUOC Big Weekend, the Classic race on Arthurs Seat.

The 2019 South of Scotland Orienteering League (SoSOL) has reached its conclusion with the third of the three November events held by ELO in Duns Wood .
The League Tables have been calculated and, subject to checking, certificates will be distributed shortly.

The final event of the 2018 South of Scotland Orienteering League was held on by FVO on snowy Barr Wood on 16th December, bringing to an end the 9 event series (best 4 scores to count). The league tables have been updated and certificates will be sent to clubs for distribution

Fight With The Night (FWTN) is the winter night orienteering league organised by Edinburgh Uni Orienteering Club's (EUOC). Events are every second Thursday kicking off at 7pm and the first race is on October 18th at Calton Hill. Provisional details have been sent out via clubs with more information to follow. The fifth event of the 2018 South of Scotland Orienteering League was organised by Clydeside Orienteers using the Muirshiel Visitor Centre as a base. The map is called "Windy Hill" and it did indeed live up to it's billing although it was dry and sunny (for some of the time at least). Updated on 19/11/17.We are at the end of the spring-summer Sprintelope series with
events put on by ELO, ESOC, INT and RR. The results have been changed
into points tables
and as the final event was worth double points many places changed.
After the event there was a prizegiving at which certificates and
Sprintelope branded prizes were awarded. The evening finished with
thanks to Graeme Ackland for coordinating the whole series.Updated on 26/7/17.
Every three years the clubs for the East of Scotland host the
Scottish Championships and for the first time ever in 2017 the venues
are in East Lothian.

Interlopers' SoSOL was held at Calder Wood, nr Livingston on 15/5/16.
There was a good entry for the races, on a generally flat area between
two rivers, although there was some scrambling up and down the steep
banks.
Some runners found the numerous paths and vague vegitation confusing
and there were some long leg times. Well done the planner!

Solway's SoSOL was held at Drumlanrig, Dumfries on 17/4/16.
Over 100 runners enjoyed the very varied terrain, trying to keep in touch with the map (or not when there were unmapped paths.

ELO's SoSOL was held on Lothian Edge with views over the Firth of Forth on a glorious winter/spring dayon 28/2/16.

Unfortunately AYROC have had to postpone the SoSOL event at Muirkirk scheduled for 21st February 2016. The forecast predicts that conditions could be dangerous.

Updated on 19/2/16.In 2016 , for a trial year, the series will run for a calendar year instead of the previous autumn/spring period. (This first series will however include the SoSOL held in October 2015, which was the only one before Christmas).
These are already 7 events registered in the series (see SoSOL page) and there are plenty of spare dates between May and November, and all South of Scotland Clubs are encouraged to put on an event to add to this series. Some have already indicated their intention to host one in the autumn and they will be added to the list when they appear.
